I was wanting to try this place since it opened. My friend and I finally met up. He's a Cuban cook and I'm El Salvadorian so we know a good pupusa when we eat one. Great music as I walk in. The vibe felt right. I order two pupusas. And they FILL YOU UP. a little pricey for one pupusa, but it fills you up more than one pupusa and you get your money's worth. The taste was right on. Portions great. We all left full and happy. Now I'm drinking a cola champagne just thinking about when I go back and eat more. (I had the queso con lorocco and revueltas. My friend had revueltas and queso. We also had a sopas that was delicious. And shrimp taco cooked to perfection)

Umm, what to say... Giant burrito, super delish, great price and they know what they are doing. Had 2 Chile Relleno burritos, one with Chile Verde one with no meat. Honestly, this burrito is just heaven and you can't go wrong either way you order it. 10/10 my now go to spot for a solid, giant Chile Relleno burritos.

This place is such a hidden gem. It may not look like much, but the food here is phenomenally tasty. We had fast, courteous service, the place was clean and well kept, the music was loud enough to be heard but not so loud that you can't hear the person next to you. Highly recommend eating here and trying it for yourself. The grilled chicken quesadilla is delicious!

Super clean. Wish it was a little spicier in general. Loved the hot sauce. Would ask for extra next time. A little on the pricier side than what I'm used to for this sort of food but I think it's because they have super generous serving sizes. Definitely authentic from what little I know as a native Californian glad something like this opened up in the neighborhood. Chicken flautas - it's what you'd expect - but also well executed and not tremendously oily - crispy Chile rellenos - if you're vegetarian this will be amazing for you - really good flavor - not for me though because it isn't spicy enough Happy burrito with steak - would order without potatoes, they were undercooked this time - love the amount of hot sauce it comes with Cheese and chicken pupusas - adore how flakey the outside was - super cheesy and amazing - don't love how there isn't any greens though, not a full meal for me

My family and I went to Bichos for dinner and the food was really great! The service was amazing! The woman who took our order was a fantastic multitasker, super friendly and kind, and very efficient! She was taking orders, managing the grill, running food, all with a cool and collected manner. I got the Al Pastor Super Burrito and it was good! The rice had a very great texture, it was flavorful, the Al Pastor was a little too saucy for my preference but the flavors were good. I was happy to see a vegetarian option (Happy Burrito) since my fiance loves vegetables and would prefer them over meat. They really enjoyed it! The Mexican Horchata was very delicious and refreshing without being overly sweet. The Salvador Horchata was also really good! I was unsure of what it would be or taste like but it was very refreshing, perfect amount of sweetness, a little nutty, and reminded me of Abuelitas Chocolate (I’m unsure if that’s what it’s supposed to be). All of the servings were huge! We were a party of seven dining inside and it felt just a little cramped but it was still a nice time.

absolutely loved the pupusas! we also got the fried plantains which were phenomenal!! the chips weren’t my favorite w the chips & guac, they were super crispy. the service was great and the portions were generous! i will be coming back :)

Absolutamente lo mejor on Mississippi Ave! If you are the odd ball vegan I recommend simply ordering the Happy Burrito with no cheese or sour cream and for a little up charge I always ask to add plantains !!! Here we are for the second night in a row! The zucchini, carrots, broccoli, potatoes, and plantain are all cut fresh no pre bought bullshit and the veggies are cooked alone in a pan of their own in vegetable oil giving you the best possible chance of no cross contamination! Big UP Josef & the crew at Bicho’s !!!

first time in, and definitely won’t be the last. ordered with one of the owners, and felt taken care of with his laid-back and kind nature. my partner and i ordered the yucca frita con carnitas and tacos plate. he recommended the grilled chicken, which i was hesitant because i’ve been got by dry chicken tacos too many times. this place has BOMB grilled chicken. generous portion sizes on the tacos. meat flavored well, and salsas were great pairings for the food. stoked to have another delicious food option on the neighborhood. thanks y’all!
